The Surrey Cricket League was founded in 1975.  It is sometimes known by the name of its previous sponsors, RAM, AJ Sports, Kookaburra, Fordham Sports, and (going way back) Slazenger.

The format is very simple - a 45 over run-chase, with a limit of 10 overs per bowler.

Winning teams get 20 league points.  There are 10 for a tie.  Losing teams get bonus points as follows:

60 runs - 1 point 2 wickets - 1 point
90 runs - 2 points 4 wickets - 2 points
120 runs - 3 points 6 wickets - 3 points
150 runs - 4 points 8 wickets - 4 points
180 runs - 5 points 10 wickets - 5 points

The league table is decided on average points per game (abandoned games cannot be replayed) then net run rate.

In division 1, the top 2 are promoted and the bottom 2 relegated.
